I decided to take the map down and let the girls play with it. I asked them, "Do you want to take a road trip?" I got interesting looks.
"Divide up your cars. The first person who places all their cars on the map wins!"
So I called out the capitals and they had to drive their cars to the destination. If they got their first, they could leave their car on that state.
They had a blast! And it was much funner than just rote memorizing. :)

Prayer Quote
“I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time- waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me.”

OK, you are hired. My boys could benefit from such creativity! Great job, Christie!
I remember memorizing states and capitals about a year ago. I remember all the states names but remember only half or a little more of the capitals
That's an awesome game to play!
And I come over and play... please?
